I won’t lie, it’s surreal to be sitting here writing about television, with the events that have unfolded in my country since this past Tuesday. If I were to be hypercritical I’d say it’s frivolous, people are being assaulted physically and verbally in the streets for the exact differences that make me love being American so much. And yet here I sit, talking about The Librarians.
You have to understand, I truly believe what we say when we criticize or compliment media matters. I co-founded genretvforall.com because I believe that representation matters, I joined this blog as a contributor because I want to use my voice to elevate the shows that deserve it, and call out those that fail.
Large swaths of America are isolated. As a culture we tend to exist in homogenous self-selected bubbles. One of the only ways some Americans see people…

“The Librarians” Season 1 – An Amazing Show That Takes the Best Aspects of “Indiana Jones” and “Doctor Who”16 Oct
“The Librarians” is such a great series. Never have I watched a series that captures the fun, adventure and hope of humanity so well since “Doctor Who,” and not only that it does it with the fun and camp adventure of “Indiana Jones.” Suffice to say, for my non-spoiler thoughts…Season 1 is worth checking out if you are a fan of any of the media I mentioned above. The show was born out of two made for tv movies on TNT, both of which I’ll be checking out later.
The series was created by John Rodgers and airs on TNT.
The story involves the Librarian Flynn (Noah Flynn) being forced to have another Guardian in the Special Forces NATO soldier Colonel Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn) and taking on apprentices when the Library chooses them knowing challenges are coming to it’s existence.

I agree The LIbrarians hooked me on the first show.. Christian Kane did most of the hooking i should say.. as a Kaniac i wouldnt miss it!
Over the holidays, I got into watching a series on the Syfy channel at my Dads house. It hooked me pretty much immediately. The internet tells me that this is a successor of sorts to that other series, Warehouse 13. Which is a series that has been on my to watch pile for a while.
It follows a group of Librarians who are charged with retrieving and protecting magical artifacts throughout the world. The series kicks off with the actual library getting lost in space and time, so whilst the actual librarian is off out trying to find a way to bring it back, the trainee librarians and their guardian are in charge of protecting the world from uncontrolled magic. The episodes stand very well alone, and are eventually tied together into an overall story.
It’s cheesy, and it’s fun. More importantly, the entire first season is on Amazon Video…

Season 2, Episode 8: “And the Point of Salvation” Things are going haywire at DARPA, where they are testing out a new quantum computer that runs “tens and tens and thousands times faster than what we have now.” Wow — that fast, huh? This war game machine is capable of running millions of battle simulations…
